Mexican Villagers again:

Once again, I created new Mexican villagers and updated the already done ones.

This settler is based on Charro costume, national typical costume, very popular in Jalisco. Also, it has a ######### a long blanket-like shawl or cloak, originated in Coahuila.

This female settler uses a Rebozo, a long, rectangular piece of cloth used for carrying things or babies, and to protect before cold or sun. It is very common in sourthern and centric states, like Oaxaca.

This costume is strongly inspired on Mazahua costume, characterized by their shiny blouses and pleated, wide skirts. This costume was popularized by MarĂa Elena Velasco, also known as la India MarĂa.

Peasant who used the Jorongo to protect himself from the cold and the sun. The jorongo contains characteristic decorations.

This costume was inspired, but not absolutely based on China Poblana costume, but even if I like it, I feel like is not up to par to it.

This is the typical costume of Veracruz, the Jarocho, with a cotton Guayabera and pants, a Paliacate hanging of the neck and a very useful hat.

This villager is even poorer than the another ones. He uses a pantalĂłn de manta, a not so decorated Jorongo, no shoes and no hat.

This villager is not particularly inspired by aniything specific, but she uses a colorful dress with rich decorations.

I’m fan of your work. I have to admit something: I though the china poblana was a jarocha and the last one was china poblana.
I would argue that even the poorest villager would have some hat to cover his head, perhaps you could use the insurgente one.

Thank you! It’s always a delight hearing or seeing those words.

I think that China Poblana commonly known costume its too grandious to be worn by simple villagers, and I think this model would not make justice to it. On the other hand, the historical China Poblana costume is a posibility.

That poorest villager is an attempt to make one villager who does not use a hat, albeit I think you are right, all the agricultors should use a hat. And both Insurgente hats are used by Jorongo and Mazahua villagers.

By any chance you have tried to use the home city villagers? I tried once but unfortunately I found it to be an overwealming task due all the stuff that is displayed in the HC. My idea was to set up something along this lines:

This square chemise is called a huipil and is used over the skirt.

Any chance to make it multiplayer compatible?

I would want, but as it modifies the file “villager.xml”, and adds a new condition (like, “if Mexican, then use this model”) I think that with the new rules it is not possible.
If somebody knows how to make the mod multiplayer compatible, please help us
