a friend of mine bought aoe3 on steam and now the USA dlc is for free on the microsoft store if you enter a key. Is it possible to activate it on steam aswell/ a way to play it with the steam version?
You can buy the USA dlc on steam, just search aoe 3 de on steam and the dlc will be underneath the main game on the store page for $4.99 . As far as I know you can’t get it for free on steam
