How are any of them OP? Can you explain?
They seem balanced, no need to panic

Many seem underpowered tbh. Not the bonuses, but the tech trees.

Hmm. This seems a bit problematic. Looks like you’re the first one to notice.

What can I say! I major in maths. Not exactly proud of it.

You do realise they need a castle and invest 800 resources for a tech? Moreover, we didn’t know the tech tree of Burgundians, but we do know the tech tree of the new civs!

And you can’t even tell exactly which of my 4 suggestions was bad!

All the new civs look way more balanced than LOTW and almost as good as DOTD imo. My concern is not about the new bonuses but new units. UUs are relatively easy to balance. But there are 2 new regional units have been added, and also have 2 old regional units. They are harder to balance as you have to consider all the civs that have access to the unit.

EA as a replacement of CA and AE replacing rams - both are huge change. I hope EA will be easy to balance as it is not really a new unit and a civ is fine without any sort of mounted archer. But ram is a basic unit in the game and a must need for all civs. Replacing them won’t be easy. If AE is just a reskinned ram, that will be just dumb and lazy design. And if they are different, following questions are obvious to come into mind -

  1. Will they cost wood or food?
  2. Will they take bonus damage from spear and camel and other anti-elephant units just like other elephants?
  3. How much bonus damage they will take from anti-siege and anti-ram units?
  4. What will be their performance against non-building units?
  5. Whether it can garrison foot units like rams or not?
  6. Imperial age has only one upgrade on contrary to rams. How their performance will be in that case?

We dont know how their new UU Ghulam would perform. If they would be comparable to Eagles then I would not worry about their archer counter.

Eagles can be trained in barracks though

The Indian civs would not be able to garrison rams like others may. Only the Siege Tower to serve as taxis for slow units.

Good point. Forgot that. Added now.

Garrision in elephants will be confusing. Garrision an archer and it shoots arrows, garrision an infantry, it increased dps against buildings.

I’d post a picture, but I feel like this is not the place for grossing people out with veterinarian procedures like artificial insemination.

Hiding units under the elephant’s bi skirt like covering.
