MM - arranged team vs. randoms

Hi first I would like to make some stuff clear

I came into AoE IV from CoH2 - where I managed to hit rank1 several times with various factions and ofc. even with arranged international team (never unbeaten with like +110 streak).

I at least hoped that in such a game like AoE there would be a separate MM system for randoms and arranged teams since communication is imo n.1 in this game and MUCH more important than in CoH - where believe or not top-peak strategy is the same and u fight over areas(resources) and not on enemy base. So even with random u are able to deffeat arranged teams easily.

Is this issue only in quick matches and not in rankeds? Because if so there is no point for me to play this game anymore since its super unbalanced (but I really enjoy it so far expect this) and in like 2/3 of my games one of my teammates/or me is crushed by a push of 3 players (mostly in fedual age) and they have perfect army to do so (rams,spears,archers,early knights) so there is no way u can counter this without communication and the game is basicily gg since the start. Like even before u can react one player is wiped out and rams are ramming hard :smiley:

Please tell me this is not a feature in rankeds cause as I said there is no way I would preffer AoE over CoH teamgames this way.

My answer to 2 most common stupid answers - I dont enjoy too much to play with arranged teams (since its really funny to have 10-max.15 mins long games like in CoH) - I want to play ALONE (and yeah I have friends :slight_smile: )

And no I dont wanna play 1v1 because I simply like concept of teamgames.

Any Idea how to potentionaly solve this problem expect - go back to the shadow of CoH once again? If so I would be really grateful.

(and yes when a game is over I asked enemy team everytime if they are team since I saw one-side coordinate push and answer is the same everytime)

Been playing since closed beta. I don’t think there are many devs, and if there are, they are incredibly incompetent. Just don’t expect help is what I’m saying. They are casual players and this is a casual game that they like to play when having a beer while rolling in a bathtub of cash. Game is a scam, refund if you can.

Wait for frost giant studios. In the mean time don’t take aoe4 seriously. Play casually or your going to get frustrated by its horrible design.

I see this as a big problem also. In most of my matches I’m paired with random players vs a set team that has the advantage of having practiced their strategies in multiple matches.

Perhaps ‘set team’ games could be limited to custom rooms where the fact is advertised ahead of time, and quick match could be for players seeking random team games. Alternately, we should have the option when selecting quick match to be connected to a match where pairing is random.
