There’s a lot of posts in here discussing the merits of Autoque and various ways to balance Genoese Crossbowmen & Indian Battle Elephants and such things.
Are there any good mods I can try to see how these features play out?

Don’t know, haven!t heard of something like that. Most of us don’t put our money where our mouth is.
Indeed, people who suggest balance changes should create data mods with those changes, so that these could be tested in scenario editor, etc.
