Modder Map: All Units & Objects in AoM:R!

Mod page: [Mods Single - Age of Empires - World's Edge Studio]

This map shows everything available in the map editor (all units, buildings, objects, etc.)! This is meant to be a ‘visual toolbox’ to help you easily review options for making your own stories or mods. Install through the in-game mod browser, then look around and get inspired!

You can also test over 1 million combinations of shading effects on everything! There’s also a custom font (with emojis!) made of white bricks that you can copy to label parts of the map or whatever you need. The right (east) corner of the map is a ‘studio + stage’ section for tools to help you quickly test options for scenes and characters.

Here’s a Google sheet with cool shading combinations for you to try on your own maps: AoM:R - Cool Shading Combinations - Google Drive

This is a work in progress. All feedback is welcome. I’m planning lots of additional features.

Note: If you want to open this map in the editor, see the ReadMe.txt file included in the mod’s install folder.

Screenshot 05: Custom font (named TrapMan) with emojis! You can easily copy & paste this to make your own map labels or whatever. Special thanks to Kiki!

Note: I’ve published a major performance improvement by reducing the number of fence / wall / text objects. Update to v0.69 or higher if you haven’t already.

This is an awesome map. It does crash my poor laptop if I dare to have any other major programs open at the same time, so a stripped down version with just the models and without all the intricate triggers would be nice. You certainly don’t have to put the extra work in to make 2 versions though; thanks for the great map!

Thanks for letting me know! I did improve the performance quite a lot by deleting all the walls & fences and just using terrain instead, but I’ll see if there’s anything else I can do.

I can publish a separate version of the map without triggers, that’s not a problem at all. I didn’t know that triggers would affect the performance so badly.
