On this note, 2 buildings can be hard to do, Should Mongols go up at 150 gold, or start with +50g so I only have to burn 1 building… they DID take away the Early Lancers after all =-(
For those of your who say ‘just put 1 vill on gold’ are clearly not mongols.
I have been putting 2 vills on gold, and then raid to get a building or two. The ones I target are the resource buildings (lumber camp, Mining camp, etc ) since they are most of the time undefended.
farms give resources too! If you see it, burn it xD

good point! Also, I don’t know if anyone else here has looked into the matchups for Mongols yet, but French and Abbasid seem to be the hardest matchups so far. French can rush with Age 2 knights which Mongols do not have a counter for, especially if they have chivalry. Abbasid has been doable, but its tough vs their camels.
