ISSUE EXPERIENCED
Ordering a monk to convert a building when it isn’t allowed to (due to the specific technology not researched, or simply because the target is a wall), and then attempting to move it, may cause the monk to freeze/get stuck in place unless the Stop command is used.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
- Select a monk and order it to convert a something when it does not have the tech required to do so (or select a wall).
- Command it to move elsewhere.
EXPECTED RESULT
That monks can move whenever are told to, regardless of the command/order that was previously given.

Hello @SlenderBadger98
Do you have a rec showing the issue? You can find it here: C:\Users\your_user_name\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\76561198208185053\savegame
Thanks for the report
- I don’t have access to a savefile, unfortunately.
- After a re-installation of the game, it worked normally regarding commands and monks.
Maybe it was just an issue on my end with a third-party app running in background (Bandicam).
Don’t hesitate to talk to me if you encounter any more problem. We’re actually tracking some issues with units unable to move.

when bug happens, monk model got freeze.monk can only move after the building/wall is destroyed or be forced to cure a damaged unit in sight(cure range)
i am quite sure that its not a bug caused by OBS or some live software
and i can provide 2 official campaign reps maybe time after 1 hour
as a new user i cant direct upload

I’m having the issue again. I selected one of my monks, and tried to convert a gate (which of course, wasn’t possible). Then I commanded the monk to move away from there, and the game would just ignore my clicks. I’m experiencing this issue while at the William Wallace 7 scenario (The Battle of Falkirk).
