I’m not sure this is bug or intended, but the camel treb should be a similar version of a bombard cannon. While bbc got +240 building dmg, this camel only got +12 bonus dmg, which is the main reason why the unit feels so trash, despite its high cost. In fact, its anti unit is kinda decent. So buffing/correcting the building bonus dmg would make this unit viable.
It’s chucking a clay pot around. That’s not going to hurt buildings all that much.
Jaguar warrior’s wooden mosquito swatter or Ghbetto’s pocket knives are not gonna damage full plate armor very much, yet they destroy everything, whereas a spear, a halberd or a pike have pretty high chance at fighting off armored soldiers and unarmored villagers, yet they seem to tingle them.
+10 actually.
And having less range than defensive buildings.
The macahuitl isn’t just wood. It’s edged with obsidian blades.
While not amazing verses armour, it cuts through flesh like tissue-paper. Get it into an opening and something is cutting cut off.
Meanwhile the Boxi (mOuNtEd TrEbUcHeT) is a unit that was built to handle infantry, not buildings.
Before siege engineers yes. Which increases it by 20%.
Exaggeration - but that was the point. It’s got a brittle obsidian that is good against flesh, but terrible against something more rigid - I purposedly mentioned this weapon, beacuse it was coated with obsidian and we had obsidian arrows which were good against buildings - something these arrows should have been terrible against;) And this Aztec wooden sword does very high damage to very armored units regardless.
Yeah. But I never saw someone puts upgrade onto stats. Like no one says Knight has 4/4 armor and 12 attack.
They don’t bother with that for bonus damage.
The lingering fire lasts 8 second and causes 4 damage/s to buildings, so practically there is supposed to cause 30 + 10 + 8×4 damage per shot without Siege Engineers.
It’s said that the damage of lingering fires won’t stack when the projectiles land on same area as they are burning the same area, but I don’t sure what if you attack ground and target to the different tiles of the building.
I mean you could but its an extra step of micro tedium just to inch a little extra value out when a real treb does all its damage upfront
