Multi player sync issue (co-op campaign)

Game says out of sync and disconnects. We were able to play for awhile but then it will always disconnect if we try to load the save game. Can only play for a few seconds now after reloading the game.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. load the save game
  2. play 12 seconds
  3. get disconnected

We would like to finish the game and play the co-op campaigns.

I have the sync files from each player as well as the restore save games but this site says I am too new to upload them. How can I provide them?

I recommend you to disable Windows Insider Program.

How to disable without reinstalling windows

Neither of us are in the windows insider progrom.

Again, i have the sync files from both players and the save game. How can I get them to you?

@furby_with_a_gun I seem to be having a very similar issue since the last update (but just general multiplayer - not the campaign). Playing multiplayer with my partner. Can get quite far into a game and then it crashes. Error message says it has desynced and saved. But the save file is unplayable and crashes (neither of us is using windows insider).

Going to attempt some reinstalls of windows/AoE, but if you happen to find a fix for this please update.
