Based on my analysis, I suggest to buff their Q-ability. I loved longbows in early release. Now they are unable to use it. They have terrible DPS vs heavy army. Therefore, buffing their Q-ability doesn’t overbuff them since they are not OP to begin with.

The abbey of kings gives a free king as for today. It serves the purpose as a free knight that kills villagers. I personally think it’s a wrong design. It has become the most important way to 2TC into castle age. But it is unfaithful to the original design of English. It’s a free-to-grab thingy. Why not remove the free king but provides healing even in combat?

Yeah, it looks nice, but there is no need to buff it. The ability is still there and can be used, and from S9 they will have no counter, so making them invincible against cavalry too is a bad idea.
