It seems that the Minotaur is now what the Cyclops could’ve been in the original AoT version.
I think undoing the nerf for the insta kill throw of cyclops, ruined the usage of it.
Doing a mass bull minotaur is even hard to stop at this moment.
I know that cyclops has his power vs buildings but still…
Although, I really like that myth units are more powerful / used now, though ! It should’ve always been like this.
Just scared of taking care of massed MUs as Greek.
Freyr’s heroic MU with its 1000HP does seem strong to combat. I understand it as defensive, but using it as offensive does seem difficult to kill at this moment for some gods.
I noticed that it’s a little to easy to use Gullinbursti offensively.
It just has times live and slows down when getting farther away from the TC but it’s still fast enough to reach the enemy base.
Maybe it should be more of a permanent guard kinda unit.
Healing when close to an allied TC and losing HP when away from an allied TC. Then you could keep it around as a permanent support unit for defence but the enemy can relatively easily kill it by forcing it to fight outside of TC range.
Actually both minotaur and cyclops are severely OP. But this is a general problem with most MU. I think only the centaurs bear some semblance of balance on the greek side.
Gullinbursti is strong having it regenerate health when within range of a allied Town Center and remain permanently until killed IMO would make it too strong of a God Power especially for a Age I god power.
If you want to nerf it for offense make its speed reduction be faster so it cant be used offensively at all with its speed being greatly reduced so fast after getting out of allied Town Center range.
I’m not a big fan of the area of effect special they have though.
It seems quite strong for a classical age special.
And it also works on heroes which is horrible when you only have slow hersirs as norse in classical age…
Cyclopse feels relative weak but also look wise. It was a bit too stiff, should be a bit bigger and it’s club should change about after upgrade.
It’s like Minotaur got (thankfully) changed from a 2 to a 12 and Cyclopes from a solid 8 to a 4 ( maybe numbers like this sounds a bit silly but I think it helps visualisation)
They REALLY need to get the Cyclops some buff, dude can’t fight 4 or 5 hoplites, he has 30% hack armour when he’s supposed to be a tank. I don’t think the instakill is needed since they clearly want him to be a crowd controller/siege unit, but he needs some extra defenses and a better throwing to do it properly.
He also looks pretty bad, most of the units look amazing but his design was just lazy, his club isn’t improved with his research and dude’s looking like a beefy satyr. He is a giant and should look like one!
