Only better thing can be, reverting Pop cost of siege ele to 7-6pop, and increasing range instead to 32 in imperial upgrade.

As for the flails Ive tried a flail build and used them they are now of 2 pop and wayyyy better in DE they are cool in DE!

at 7:20 they literally captured my thoughts! Siege ele needs RANGE! nothing else! 32 is the best number to go with, for the balance:

What is knight infantry? Only infantry that has multiplier against siege elephants are skirms. Hand infantry do not counter them.
They have the light ranged cavalry tag, but don’t have the broader cavalry tag.
They have the artillery tag, so culverins will counter them.

That is a Subset of Cavalry class! so if a Halbedier attacks, its multiplier will work on Siege ele :frowning:

You can still kill them with hand infantry because they are slow and don’t kite.

Hand infantry such as rodelero, have multiplier for AbstractCavalry.
However Siege Elephant is the ONLY AbstractLightCavalry in the game that doesn’t have the AbstractCavalry tag.
So hand infantry don’t have multipliers against them. Any unit with multipliers to AbstractCavalry do not hard counter Siege Elephants. This includes musks.
Funny enough, the old Carolean used to hard counter them because they had specific multiplier against Light Cavalry.

Good luck getting halbs on top of siege elephants with sepoy, urumi and gurkha protecting it
And nope, culvs don’t counter siege elephants. It takes several culv shots to kill a siege elephants.
Only way to kill them is with skirms.
They already have super strong musks, better skirms and urumi that can reck a whole army by themselves. They dont need any more buffs.

Halbs have Multiplier on cav ! so the multiplier will apply on Siege ele too! U can try it out!

Yep, but there is no way halbs will reach the elephants with a mass of gurkha, urumi and sepoy protecting it.
On top of that these units can easily kite canons due to their higher speed.

Hand infantry don’t hard counter them. But they can still be effective cause Siege elephants don’t kite.
