I have the same problem on the British and Dutch skins from the community are still locked after participating in the events as shown below.

5 days here and the Dutch Prince skin is still lockedā¦
I remember playing the past event and one green check didnāt count for me after a match and at the end of the event I didnāt get the skin (Dutch Prince).
Yesterday, I played a match and again, it didnāt count.
So Iām guessing Iāll probably have the Chinese skin locked at the end of the current event.

I try to play at least once a day, get X and apparently itās a did not participate marker, whereas Iāve played exclusively single player. The last time count for me about participation was in the event that unlocked the Aztec Queen, unfortunately the goal was not reached.

Is anyone actually working on it? Submitted the issue two weeks ago. Game did receive an update, today, but Brit and Dutch explorers are still locked. Iām online, signed into Steam client (not running in offline mode) and Xbox.
The issue isnāt even that itās not working, but that itās not working for some people. I own 4 copies of AoE3, including a Collectorās Edition, played it for ~2k hrs in total and Iām meticulous about having access to a complete experience. And love visual customization.

It was an in app update, they bypassed steam and updated it. To recieve it, just stay on the game menu home page for 2 - 3 mins and restart.

Skins have never been unlocked, even after posting id. Really poor

Iāll take a screenshot of the Chinese skin (current event) because I got a feeling the skin will be locked at the end of the event tooā¦
i suspect it is being unlocked manuallyā¦ I was one of the first to write to Breadalus about the problem, so around the next time they will be working in aoe3 (after holidays probably), they will unlock for more people.
Odd Drake is now unlocked but not the Dutch explorer
my skins both unlocked after I installed a AOE official mod, someone else mentioned it would work and it actually did.
I was subscribed to all (few?) official mods, re-downloaded a couple of them (Winter Wonderland, Day Night Cycle, Wololo Priest Mod), restarted the game and both are still locked.
I might consider re-installing 3DE, but this thing is very clearly server-side issue and the lack of authorization that is being sent ot the player client, which allows these two skins to unlock.
No user files or action should impact it. Especially considering other skins, civs and DLCs work and donāt get locked back. Seems to be very recent and very selective problem.

I posted two weeks ago and both skins are still locked for me. I tried the mod thing but that didnāt work, likely because I already did the events prior. I hope this wouldnāt apply to the new skin but this is very frustrating.

I have unlocked all the skins personaly. However, I have to play several games before the case gets checked. This is weird.
Tried multiple fixes as suggested, still no luck with Dutch explorer skin or Drake.
