I guess the most obvious would be portuguese Spanish and berbers.
Portuguese and Spanish were obvious yes, but I assumed he was expecting it to be used by currently-nonexistent civs as well
@Mahazona is correct.
Yes but I donāt want a Spanish/Berbers split until we get a big list of civs.
Moors are the other obvious one but do we need them in game? We already have romans goths berbers saracens.
Fair. Thatās me with most potential Euro civs.
We donāt need any more civ for at least 1 year after TLC. And even after that Iāll probably argue about 30 civs more deserving than Moors.
Random idea which I doubt the devs would follow since they seem to hate revisiting regions: South America DLC (TLC) > Meso/North America DLC > Africa DLC 2 > Andes/West South America DLC > Africa DLC 3
I think itās possible to split the Saracens into at least one new civilization called Arabs, with the original Saracens now representing medieval Egypt. Aside from some bonus changes and perhaps the architecture of the Feudal Age, the latter would remain practically unchanged, but the umbrella would be smaller.
Just give the Saracens another UU. Hashashin comes to mind. Or a knight replacement to represent their excellent horsemanship. We need Arab style archers too.
Iām alright with a Saracen split but Iād detach Moors/Andalusians first (technically both a Berber and a Saracen split, as El Cid uses Saracens for Andalusians and coastal North Africa and Berbers for Almoravids), South Arabs / Yemenis could come further down the line.
Yes, this is the main one I would want split off of Saracens
This is an interesting idea I wouldnāt be opposed to necessarily.
Would Mamlukes become a regional unit? Or would they stay as an UU?
Either way Iām game for a Saracen split.
Historically speaking, every civilization had its unique kind of architecture, we could potentially have a unique architecture set for each and every one of the civilization in the game. However, that will never realistically happen. Maybe we could get unique Monastery architecture for each civilization in the future, that would be interesting.
