NEW CIV! NEW SCREEN SHOT

They already have the assest from aoe3 to import for japanese civs if they are lazy enough and make it a cash grab. I dont understand whats the motive anyone care to explain?

Relic took a lot of inspiration from the AoE3DE DLC African Royals- the units, herdable economy, and placing gathering buildings over mines.

Free? Then I think is time to reinstall after 6 months, hopefully they can do something with the disgusting castle spam or castle wars that is plaguing the game.

That’s due to bad developing, rather than actual history

Well a free campaign will be a lot of work but I think they will release a expa with no campaign, probably bizantines will be announced with proper campaign

The ā– ā– ā–  is wrong with relic?! Are they not listening to fans?

It depends on the fans.

We have multiple types of fans. Aoe 2 , Aoe 3 and the newly formed Aoe4 fans. And even those can be divided further (EX: PVP or Pve, etc)

  • They can’t please all so they chose to please some in the first DLC.

Malians are indeed a super nice choice, possibly the best one by far, even Ottomans are still fine for inclusion.

Though I play a lot of AOE 2 and here Malians exist since 2015 with campaign, curious to see if some units, mechanics and bonuses come back here (especially some university related bonus).

I’m the type of fan who wants free civs

Well Turks were a must for the 1st dlc and I’m glad ottomans are already confirmed

Mali, they are a surprise for me, I don’t think they are a bad choice at all…

Sry byzs, maybe in the next dlcs, hopefully with bulgarians

My favorite civs thematically are Chinese delhi and mongols (abbasid too but in my uneducated mind i associated this game’s abbasid closely with delhi). So i love when no European civs are added simply to get something different!! Personally I’m thrilled to see an African civ and i hope the new maps have cows to herd as oppose to sheep!!! AND HOPEFULLY NEW CIV MECHs!!! (Not just new units).

You didn’t even make enough categories. There’s many of us who aren’t here because of aoe2, aoe3, or AoE4.

This is a very wide community

I’m going to wait for the developers to speak on Thursday, I think something is missing, I don’t know why.

Adam Isgreen is hinting at a slow trickle of news leading to the release in October. I would be surprised if there is no other new content.

Hmm , weapons of each civ seems prety good for me tbh

Lets just forget about graphics this time , the important thing right now it’s the civ gameplay and balance

Plus you cannot deny mali civ seems to be the best looking civ so far .

Umm are you complaining about something you haven’t tested in 6 months ? Lmao?

Tower rushing is neerfed to the ground and castle spam is not a thing bc of the stone repairing fix

Nobody has castle spammed me on months tbh

Don’t you know? Most people here don’t actually play the game at all they just like to complain about it XD.

Yaa , noticed that , but hey , then they call me that I’m on ā€œdelusionā€

That sounds suspiciously non-AoE4 specific. Really hoping for an AoM DE or AoM 2 announcement!

As for the new civs, it’s great that they are free and I’ll reserve judgement until after I’ve played with them.
