Unfortunately it looks like they are going to be keeping the Japan-centric architecture, but still pretty hyped to get more details on what they’re cooking up.

I do hope they don’t tinker with the OG Chinese civ’s start too much, that’s my only concern. I’m also curious how the Hwachas will fit in, hopefully they aren’t getting rid of Korean War Wagons…and hopefully we get some of the folks that surrounded the Han Chinese as well.

Still wonder which period to cover even. Three Kingdoms belongs to Chronicles timeline. I just see its just Mongols or some pre-Mongols campaigns only.
I’m so excited. I can’t wait for news and for a release date. Hope it will be classic formula with campaigns.

I have noticed 3/4 new units models (Hwacha, camel catapult, flail infantry/grenadier and new lancer but maybe it’s a steppe lancer not sure)
Edit: new pikemen skin? He looks different too
Tanguts confirmed I guess since they were the ones with siege camels.

jusging by the pictures there are four civs in the dlc. .
one is the traditional chinese, maybe with a new name.
one of them has a bull wagon similar to that of the armenians and georgians. they also have the hwacha . Gun powder civ?
the third seems a cavalry one, since they have yurtas, a lot of cavalry and a weird trebuchet on top of a camel.
the fourt has the hwacha as well, but also a weird soldier which may be a grenadier, may be a infantry

Second picture green has to be Tanguts, right? They had those famous “siege camels”. Red is giving me Tibetans vibes.
First picture, well I’ve got not idea. It has to be at least one new civ, right? Since there is a unique castle. Maybe Jurchens.

If i have to bet, we will get chinese rework (similar to persians or hindustanis) and 2 new civs: Tanguts and Jurchens
Maybe Hwacha will become a regional unit, also available to koreans….

Maybe it’s an umbrella qiang civ representing both tanguts and Tibetans……but yeah that’s HAS to be representing the tanguts boxi camel
