I’m convinced that it’s a viet castle.

yes, Because unique architure of Tibetan was completely diffirent.
Also other East Asia castle might be Mongol on top-right and Korean is middle-right.
I guess Chinese would be have same castle with Jurchen in previous image.

They said all civs will have unique Castles. So that is not a possibility.

BTW, did we figure out all 9? So far I guess Viet, Burmese, Byzantines, Portuguese, Persians, Vikings are confirmed. The unconfirmed 3 are - 1 African, 1 Mongols or Chinese and 1 Chinese or Koreans.

One in middle-right is Korean. You can see it based on this: Hwaseong Fortress

In Age of Mythology with the lastest expansion we also gained this vanish mode. It is stealth.
Probably it refers to that campaign they’re talking about with spies.

Top right one could be Chinese castle, it has two towers(双阙) in front, a typical chinese structure in important buildings.

what is this unit? I don’t think it’s a rocket cart.
new siege unit?

Oh well, apparently they really did 11

I bet on a chariot.
Yes a chariot, yes yes.

I wonder what will happen to civs whose wonders are based on castles (Celts, Cumans and I think Magyars). Will their wonders be repurposed into castles? Will they get completely new castles?

I just did a little bit of math, and assuming each existing castle stays assigned to one civ, we would need 24 unique castles. They have said we are getting 25, so one “traditional” castle design will be completely removed but the rest will remain.

The Spearman units are wielding dagger axe polearm. Which was used during Tang dynasty

I vote for this one indeed, it’s pretty close to the top left castle design, roof color variations, and wall-windows too.

Remplacement for the Bombard cannon

There is also the Han halberd style. What we can be sure of, it’s a chinese weapon ahaha.

It’s a giant crossbow on something that looks like a three sided protection, so it’s not an elephant “castle”, more of a “chariot” thing.

Zooming a lot I managed to do that.

It looks this crossbow siege type weapon is manned by one guy using a mechanics to reload easily the bolt, so if any of you can identify what chinese era siege weapon it could represent. Also i did not see any wheel on the icon, it might be a new kind of siege unit, thet have to be deployed and then that can fire, abit like trebs but not like trebs infact.

Has anyone noticed that the UI in the picture showing the Elite Fire Archer has a South East Asia theme?

(look at the face of the statue behind the command icons)

Considering the change to Elephant Archers, is a new SEAsia civ confirmed?
