when playing multiplayer, units do not find the shortest path from their location to their destination, even when the distance is short.

observations:
villagers will sometimes go the long way around buildings.
villagers will take a very inefficient route, especially when going to the north side of town centers.

The new pathing is indeed awful. And I have said it in my previous post/replies, it has a lot to do with unit formation.

The script is badly designed to where our units will try to create these pretty looking formations but at the same time it comes at the expense of better pathing.
Dev, please make group formation an ACTIVE action that players can choose to engage in, not something that is passive and automatic. One must hit a hotkey for units selected to actually move into that formation.

As expected. Every time they changed the pathing. It got worse. Now the behavior is just awful. Even Hera is making jokes.

Yea, see imagine if a seasoned pro like Hera having a hard time with the pathing, how will casual players, and especially new players feel about it? They are just learning the game. Moving units around is already a challenging for them.

Comon guys, you be more thoughtful and meticulous about your patches. No need to break something even more without testing it, especially with someone who actually plays the game.
