After upgrading my system from a gtx 1050 to an amd rx 7600 xt the game starts getting huge stutters, especially in lategame. I didn’t have those with my 1050. I did DDU, tried a bunch of different options on AMD adrenaline, turned on SAM on BIOS, turned it off, verified AOE files. All the other games i am running, most of them way more demanding than AOE, have no problem running.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Have rx 7600 xt
  2. Play game.
  3. See stutters
    Edit: Place farms, game stutters when placing them.

Here are my system specs:
Ryzen 5 5600X
16 GB RAM
AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT
Edit: Turns out the stutters are caused when farms are placed down. Not when build, just when placed down. But it makes the game unplayable because im assuming it applies to all 8 players (when i went to 4v4 i had enormous lag after a certain point)
Not sure if they could be caused for other buildings.

This is what i used. It basically translates directx to vulkan from my understanding and the gpu basically uses vulkan then. I sent a support message to AOE support, they said i can use it without being a suspect for cheating.
(In case you care, this can also be used for almost any game possible, a lot of the time you get a massive perfomance boost)
