I did say that there was no confirmation that it would be afterwards, just that it wouldn’t be before the match or during.
The pup depots appear within 10 days of an announcement, so it’s likely this week.

One possibility that comes to mind (perhaps being too optimistic) is that the Microsoft team didn’t expect the tournament to end so quickly, and they might have planned to release a trailer in a few hours.
Or maybe they simply didn’t plan to show any trailers for any of the games in the franchise.
I was hoping they would reveal the new AoM faction, a new DLC for AoE 2, and even some big changes for AoE 3; and even something new for AoE 4 due to the radical change it had in its last patch.
But oh well, we can only move forward.

They could honestly just drop it at any time, which they normally do.
The difference this cycle was that there were several dates coming up where the game would get free publicity, so doing it then makes sense to piggyback off of it. But hey, if they don’t wanna use it, that’s their decision.
One of my favorite times of the year is Halloween 
… But I doubt it’s a date the developers have in mind to show new content

The end of the red bull was the right moment to reveal something after the 25th anniversary , you guys need to wake up, there is nothing coming, it was aoe2 bundle released a week ago, the rest is the just the patch that got delayed cause of all the tournaments.

I’m going to tell you the same thing I told the AoE3 guys, be patient (and we in AoE3 need patience, boy). The devs are working on several things right now, but they’re not forgetting anything, there will be news soon.

Let’s be honest, the devs have missed all the free opportunities to create and feed the hype, but there’s definitely something being worked on. Probably not something 25th anniversary themed, because I can’t imagine they wouldn’t have announced it by now, but just another dlc like the previous ones. Going full doomsaying is a little bit ridiculous.
