New unit hinted in the hotfix notes?

Or add more revolutions. That’s very efficient. You only need to design ~10 cards and 1 or 2 unique units. E.g. Italians can be a revolution of France or Germany.
However since they did not add Italy as a revolutionary nations, they might be planning to make a playable Italian civ sooner or later.

I would like a Belgian Revolution - from the Dutch and Germans (because Liege was part of the HRE during the first revolution).

This revolution should enphasise industrialization (hence have at least a factory card) and infantry with the revolutionaries becoming better musketeers.

Also if Italy is going to have a revolution i can only imagine being the Barbary States and Somalia (since Italy as a country was limited in their colonization and revolutions

i mean it already strikes me as unlikely they get 2 ranged cavalry units, only lakota have that and even for them only the Bow rider is really worth buying.

could be something else than 1 faction, could be multiple factions units.

the infantry unit does indeed look a little like the Italian units posted earlier.

but as I’ve said earlier i feel like the cavalry is a dragoon, looks like some Danish dragoon I’ve seen before.

i also saw a video earlier which has 2 european units in it: “regular” which is a musketeer type and “volunteer” which is a skirmisher. but i am not so sure how much to trust that source as he also mistook the british india flag as being a new faction which is VERY unlikely, esp since its a campaign faction.

Someone posted this wiki page on aoe3 reddit and this seems like what the unit resembles the most (almost exactly the same):

However that’s a French one and French may be the last civ that receives new units. So here are some wild guesses:

  1. It is campaign-exclusive, which might point to at least one European scenario.
  2. It is some “super-unit” that the French can only receive by hone city cards or church technologies, like Spahi or Nizam Fusilier. If so we can expect the same for other civs.
  3. It is some revolutionary unit. Maybe France can now revolt into revolutionary France?
  4. It is an Italian unit (maybe the other civ famous for “carabiniers”). However combined with the very likely Italian skirmisher, it will make Italy another Portugal which is blend. What about giving them a ranged cavalry that functions like skirmishers and a ranged infantry that function like dragoons?

Just some random speculations.

Carabiner is already the Dutch Ruyter Royal Guard upgrade, so I doubt they will reuse the same name.

the unit resembling the unit the most is the Danish dragoon.

Look at this picture, this cavalryman.

Is it

It is it

???

Of course, the cap doesn’t match, but the uniform looks very similar.

Hope it will be FLC as I’m not going to pay for one civ …

If the US will be civ, what is the US revolution for ???

If the USA will be a playable civ, let Brazil, Mexico and Colombia also be!

This is called disappointment …

This is the key question bro

Man, if they really add the US instead of literally ANY other civ, they arae doing a disservice to the game, it’s themes and everything. US already appear as a revolt and that’s where it should stay as all the other revolutionary nations

i guess its this guy.

but i dont want the USA in the game, like are they high? who came up and was like “you know we just made a bunch of revolution changes include the the US, lets add them as a faction!”

If they want to attract new players with this travesty, I’d recommend they instead put resources in fixing the bugs or adding civs that actually deserve to be in the game. USA does not belong in the game as a full civ.

They would have added the highly requested Polish, Persians, Ethiopians…

It is clear they just do not care anymore.

I have a feeling it could be a free DLC in preperation for a larger, more meatier DLC if Steamdb is anything to go by.

One civ, particularly this one, would be more conservative in terms of testing the waters but there are much more worthier adds.

Could be wrong but I think this US civilisation might just be a taster. Probably(?)

Nice point. A paid dlc with only one civ would be pathetic.
US might be the easiest one to try out because they basically have everything ready, even unit voices.

I hope it will be an FLC that will make the game more attractive with revolutions:

  • will add more revolutionary civs e.g. Greeks, Bulgarians, Yugoslavs, Czechoslovaks, Australians and more

  • will give each civ a different unique Home City, e.g. Budapest will be Budapest and not some random town

  • will add new units for the revolution and new unique unit models

But these things will change some basic elements of the game . They will ruin the game :frowning::frowning::frowning:

More revolutionary civs. Cool?

if you have revolutionary civs, then there’s not need for the revolution mechanic. It will make them disappear, not make them more attractive

Why even Revolt now?
I will just play as the civ from base, and with an actual good deck!
