Can we brainstorm some catchy nicknames for team game civ combinations? In the board game, Diplomacy certain alliances have nicknames. An alliance between France and Britain is an Entente, an alliance between Italy and Austria is called a “Lepanto”, an alliance between Russia and Turkey is called a “Juggernaut”, and so on. Germany + Britain is called an “Anglo-Saxon”.
We all know Italians + Goths are great because Goths can spam Condos from their faster working barracks. Maybe we can call this strategy “Condogoth” or “Italo-goth” or “Catalaunian Fields”. Japanese + Italians and Malians + Italians also have good Condos.
Then there is Mayans + Cumans. Cumans have stronger palisade walls and Mayans have cheaper walls as team bonuses. I think Mayans + Cumans should be called a “Fatslob” to honor the Voobly player who would make tons of layers of stone walls on Black forest. We could also call them “Wallans” since both civs end in -ans- and the strategy is to wall up in feudal age with palisade walls.
There is Berbers + Turks. Turks don’t get elite skirmisher but they do benefit from being able to train Genitours. Any ideas here?
