FYI: On Reddit, folks have been talking even more about the new Black Forest:

So, this bug probably showed up when they apparently completely rewrote the Black Forest script to make it more competitive, testing only the standard/recommended settings. Larger maps are fun, but they’re not the most commonly played.
Workaround Tip: If you’re missing the old BF experience, with plenty of resources even on larger maps, you might want to try the original Black Forest script. It’s available as a mod/custom map script here:
