Norse favor collection with Heroes is excessively slow (practically useless)

A Norse hero generates 0.01 favor every second, meaning that a Norse player would have to have 100 heroes to get 1 favor every 1 second, which is completely absurd.
Norse are practically forced to fight multiple times to get favor while other pantheons get favor every 1 second.

You are supposed to fight, that’s the whole purpose of this mechanic.
It’s in some ways the easiest favour generation, you just play the game normally and just attack the enemy, what you want to do anyway.

If you don’t want to play aggressive then maybe don’t play Norse.

btw. even with all Monuments build the Egyptians can’t get 1 Favour per second.

Well, as Skadidesu said, you are supposed to fight with Norse troops.

And believe me, you should complain Egyptians generate favors too slow, rather than complaining about Norse.

Egyptian civs are the only civs which cannot form a meaningful myth unit army due to low favors gather speed before the final stage, although they do not rely on myth units anyway.

It’s not true what you say. the Egyptians are one of the pantheons that generate the most favor per second.

Let’s simply calculate the favor generated by Egyptian monuments:
0.13 + 0.13 + 0.13 + 0.25 + 0.5 = 1.14 favor per second

In conclusion Egyptian monuments can generate 1.14 favor per second or 68 favor per minute.

Norse have always had slow favor generation outside of combat because they are supposed to be fighting if they want good favor generation, which is a key part of the civilization’s identity.

It’s not true what you say

An Egyptian with his five monuments boosted by 2 Pharaohs can generate 68 favor per minute. Which is equal to:
Every 1 minute = 4 anubite or 4 petsuchos.
Every 5 minutes = 20 anubite or 20 petsuchos

Fighting for favor is not very effective. At most, each battle will give 80 favor. And in a 30 minute game, there will be 2 or 3 battles. So, the favor gain from fighting battles is very slow unless you have many heroes fighting in the battle, which is very unlikely

A number of things have already been done in AoMR to help boost getting favor compared to the old game such as the following

Odin: Great Hall units generate +25% favor in battle so that effects both Heroes and Cavalry.
Thor: Hammer of Thunder makes Hersirs favor trickle rate be increased by +100%.
Bragi: Call of Valhalla gives 1 favor each time one of your Berserker dies. Thor, Loki and Freyr can advance into Heroic Age with Bragi.

Fighting for favor is their thing we don’t need to and shouldn’t be giving them more favor out of combat because then it will create serious problems especially with Loki players who like to make Hersir and Norse are already strong in this game and have good win percentages https://aomstats.io/

Other pantheons can gain 1 favor per second and spam 4 mythic units per minute or 20 mythic units every 5 minutes. An Egyptian with his 5 powered monuments can gain 600 favor every 10 minutes and re-use several powers.

Norse cannot gain 1 favor every second and they have to develop favor upgrades and die in battle to gain favor. Considering that there are 3 or 4 battles in each game, the favor gain is still low compared to the other pantheons.

Norse are my favorite civilization in all versions of AoM, and I have no problem in any version with them regarding how they generate favor. When it comes to favor generation, it is what it is a difference, which is what I love about AoM the differences with civilizations with things.

It would be unfair to boost Norse favor generation out of combat to try to be more similar with other civilizations while still generating favor in combat that would clearly be overpowered favor generation.
