TBH you shouldn’t try to make sense of Microsoft’s PR campaigns. They simply do not work, they relay on shoving stuff in people’s face and complain about people not wanting/using stuff.
Windows: yeah, let’s shove gadgets and copilot in everyone’s face while we sacrifice functionality people actually used.
Outlook: replace well optimized, perfectly working native application with a web site, while saying it is cool and fast. Also AI.
Teams: LOL Yeah well microsoft could never do the chatting app properly.
Edge: let’s see how much stuff we can cram into one’s face, maybe maybe they will use bing.
aoe4: look this epic game made for pros, we’re just gonna replace it with AOMR
aoe2: here’s a paid DLC with a bunch of modder level maps, advertised as campaigns.
aoe3: here’s an advert to aoe4 cause it didn’t sell well enough.
