Of all the cards in the game Age of Empires 3 this one for me is more meaningless

Captura de Tela (39)

and something else to this card or attach it to age 2 church card, something else that could be linked to this card and have a 2x church bonus and increase the XP rate by 50% or 80% of church or decrease the cost of improving the church itself

I made this post because it doesn’t make sense to use this card neither in treaty nor in supremacy with malta. much better get 300 wood and build 2 native tps or get a trading post

i think its for maps without tps

thats worse then what the card currently does though, giving you 2 church wagon and allowing for a third is effectively x3 the church’s xp trickle

it effectively gives malta an inbase xp factory at 2.1xp/s which is very good on non-tp maps or even lategame

But still terrible card , no make any sense lose 1 shipments with this card in any mode game, in theory is good but in practice no make difference on gameplay

Only mode make sense use is in map survival but I use no make difference on long game, 99%have natives or tps

I don’t think the extra 2 churches card is bad, it’s just a bit situational for maps with no TPs and I’ve had good success with it even on TP maps, getting your shipments faster is helpful, but Papal Bull is really bad. You only have Teutonic order which is trash since it just slows down your Hospitallers for some little attack, speed is extremely important for melee units and not worth this trade off (you go from 42 to 46 attack in imperial and full upgrades if I recall correctly… the Teutonic helmet though), the tech that gives your Hospitallers and Sentinels their building aura buff from enemy buildings isn’t bad, but not great either since lots of fights don’t happen near buildings until you attack a base at which point you often already won a more important engagement anyway and the last one that ships one Hospitaller for 2 hospitals is complete trash as if people build 10 hospitals to get 5 units in return while having to spend the resources for the buildings, you’re better of just training them.

value wise its equal to the xp value of like 4 native tp trickles on its own and the 3rd church you can build is total to 6 native tp tricles which is like 600 res of investment

even normal tp has xp rate of about 1/s so you are getting 1.4 tps and getting total of 2 tps of value in base without having to defend it. for a turtle civ like malta that is great value

you can spend that an early shipment for a massive xp boost, how well that works is build dependant

The 2 additional churches card is considered situationally strong on maps without trade lines.

this 2 church card is not worth using in any way simply for the reason it costs ‘‘1 SHIPMENT’’, and the same sense of sending 1600 gold from the metropolis and then using mercantilism in the church
to get experience again! I’ve used it enough to have made this post, and the reason was for the developers to review the ability of the card and add something else to be really a good card

enviar essa carta não faz sentido amigo ja joguei com malta em tratado e supremacia e um desperdício usa-la
como falei em cima na teoria faz sentido mais na pratica e totalmente desnecessário

by this logic its also very bad to send gold crates to be able to send mercenary shipments which effective cost you 2 shipments, and yet that is still the standard play for a lot of civs

that is also a play used for fast industrial strats

it has its niche value, it won’t be used every game but its an option. like it has comparable value to italy’s xp generation from 5 lombards and that was considered so much they are cutting it by 50%. granted they are different civs but its definitely not an useless shipment, especially since malta get 2%hp for every shipment

It costs 1 shipment, which scales in value from 300 res to 1600 res. As an Age 1 shipment, 2 churches worth 300w total, an 80 xp build bounty, plus a 1.4 xp/s second trickle, is well worth the cost. For a second shipment, 80xp is worth over 1/4th of the xp cost of the next shipment (345 xp). Meaning you earn back your shipment xp within 3 minutes [ (345-80)/1.4=189s]. Assuming a ~30 min game, it earns you 2500 xp, the max xp cost that you hit at shipment #19. In a 30 min game it’s pretty unlikely you hit 19 shipments, but pretty likely you’re shipping Age 4 cards. One can view it is a 300 res investment yields a 1600 res reward in 30 min. Plus, this card puts you ahead on the shipment curve, which as Malta is particularly valuable due to the 2% hp bonus.

More good send card of distributism 1.25 wood

well, would be good to see that table of experience needed to receive a shipment

the one on the wiki is still correct

I disagree with the 2 churches. Ive seen its use in NR20 for clutching the cards you need out… And you get 2 FOR FREEEEEEEEE…kinda its worth a 300 wood but it does reward you with XP in the first 8 minutes which will give you a boost in Opening to midterm gameplay.

The Unique Church card enables strategic options for your specific units. You get 25 Tanks in NR30-60 that can build hospitals that heal you. Its a fun card though it highly depends on the build you go for. Archaic Malta or Dragoon-Firethrower fpr example doesnt really need it.
