Since when is it a surprise that a corporation is trying to make money? Don’t forget that any and all forms of entertainment (games, movies, music, etc.) are businesses, first and foremost. It shouldn’t be shocking that they’re trying to make more money or pushing their other products.
Now, on the other hand, the question whether this is a sensible business decision is a very interesting one, and probably not one we can answer.
I saw the announcement for AOE DE a few days ago. I thought “wow,an old classic brought to back to life”. Nope. Window 10 only. Not even on Stem. I guess my best bet to is to try to figure out how to get my twenty year old copy to work on my windows 7.
