Optimization!

Ok the game is good, but the optimization is not very well… Where are DLSS and frame generation for nvidea GPUs? And some effect, god powers and other things drop a lot the FPS atm.
And some times the game flash like a instant alt+tab and return. They have much work to optimize this game to run like aoe4 for example who is much more stable. What do you think guys?

The game runs on a different engine as AoE4 and it looks a lot better, plus AoE4 doesn’t have god powers.
I don’t think there is much more potential for optimisation. Maybe you should try lowering the graphic settings, especially turning off ray tracking if you have it on.

The game runs significantly better than during the beta for me.

Yes, for me it runs smooth at highest settings. This wasn’t the case during the beta (but it was absolutely okay for a beta). But yes, optimization can always be improved. It’s still not perfect at the moment i guess.

Side note: And yes, it looks so much better than AoE4 for me personally.

Usaron el motor de AoE3DE y lo mejoraron para Retold. Por eso no se parece a AoE2 ni a AoE4. Es una lastima que los desarolladores no lo nombren como si se tratase de un error que cometieron en el pasado.

lowering the seetings and turn off ray tracing always often works for me so yeah OP should try that.

When I first started the game I thought the performance was shit until I noticed it was limited to 60 FPS by default.

I wish they would allow unlimited frames and not limit us to 144 FPS, my monitor and GPU can do more.

If it is smoother at higher settings it means you are CPU bottlenecked.

I have RTX 4070 super, and the game run at 144 fps but sometimes drop too much like 30 fps, in some god powers and other situations… So need optimization in little things, plus DLSS will help a lot to keep fps high. Frame generation will improved a lot. Pls add this. All great games have DLSS today. Why Retold not?

Oh, that wasn’t what i was saying. I just said it runs smooth on highest settings, not that it doesn’t on lower settings. Sorry if it wasn’t clear.
