I’d try it myself but I’ve no idea how to mod. @Mani did it for the hero units in campaign, not just cutscenes, but I can’t seem to replicate it.

I already have but this time without reply or reaction. I think more people have to get on the devs’ nerves to make a difference.
I will intend to look into the matter again and maybe I can accomplish to fix my mods myself. It would be still very important to have this function provided officially.
Yeh I would try myself but I genuinely have no clue where to start or what to do. I agree about the importance, the sounds is a hugely important factor for the nostalgia-based players and their changing of a few units voicelines for no reason has really disturbed that factor.
