Otto Akincis Nat abuse

So I have been trying out what nats can otto best abuse with Akincis (Light range cav vil bonus increase) to create the ultimate raider cavalry.

Otto Apache are terrifying raiders with x2.5 vil bonus last i checked from the tech and Akincis

Conquistador & Mapuche Bolas riders also very good due to the AOE acting as another x2 on unsuspecting group of vils

Tatar archer lacking the negative vil multi gets a full x2 bonus

Berber camels counting as light ranged cav means you get a x1.75 melee raider at 7 speed

And as I just discovered, light ranged cav only has the negative multi in range, so Melee is fair game

And so you can also get the Bourbon Royal dragoon with 22 base attack and x2 multi in melee

and Chevauleger with 26 melee as well for more vil murder

and if you ever land a carib with any cav archer nat in unknown they will also murder vils but that feels the same as the otto cav archer at that point

anymore vil murder ideas?

This has always been my little naughty secret trick with dragoons. They become awesome raiders because of their high speed.

It’s great that you’re talking about this. I use this strategy almost every time I play Ottomans in non-competitive team games because it’s so efficient.

The Irregulars card affects all light cavalry.

As you say, it’s deadly with Apaches because they have an absurd multiplier, but you can do something similar with Caribs too.

For example, the ‘Carib Garifuna Drums’ upgrade adds a bonus against villagers to all types of archers, so their archer riders add an additional multiplier against villagers.

It also affects Manchus and Zenata cavalry. All of this, combined with the Irregulars card, makes them devastating weapons against villagers.

Furthermore, on maps like Guianas or Florida, there are natives focused on buffing archers; all these buffs, once implemented, make them devastating.

Irregulars also benefits conquerors, as it practically turns them into units with area damage against villagers.

Gatling camel, black rider, Zenata rider and Manchu.

It affects all crossbowmen and archers, as you correctly stated, but the Azaps, being strong against to cavalry, are truly effective with this technology.

Huasa also has access to an Outlaw Skirmisher (Corsair Marksman) with a bonus against villagers, but it’s very expensive and costs 2 population.

The carib anti vill tech works on ERKs, and Slingers, it might also work on Arrow Knights (though they got weird after being turned into heavy infantry so maybe or maybe not). That gives you a 2 unit comp vs vills. Could do something similar with Japan. Lakota are fun with that tech too.

Inca with stealth JBs could be annoying, and they can do that with or without Caribs on the map naturally.

There is a treasure on maps like Mongolia that also grants a bonus against villagers to heavy cavalry, and it also affects shock infantry.

That’s really interesting. I thought all the cav improvement treasures only worked on real cav (I may need to run tests)
