Ottoman Art of War is brutal

This mission is crushingly hard now. I was getting around 18-19 minutes before season5 and now I can’t get past 15 minutes. This is ridiculous! The volume of enemy units and how they go straight for your villagers is absolutely unnecessary and not how the rest of the game works. Why is a challenge ment for training and getting to know the Ottomans so hard. Please devs look into balancing this mission, it’s the last achievement I need for the 100%. A suggestion would be the waves of enemies have less HP or less units in general.

not a bug and its still pretty easy to get 3 stars, IMO they should have added all other Civs variants and factions for endless waves, ts gonna be fun

Bumping this! I made a similar post back in December and it seems it hasn’t been resolved yet.
Since the Season 5 update to Abbasid (June 2023), this art of war now features the much stronger Ghulam instead of MAA making it unreasonably difficult. This issue was addressed for the advanced tactics art of war but the ottoman art of war was forgotten. I really think the devs should look into this since this is the only thing stopping a lot of people from completing 100% of the game.

I’m consistently getting to 19 minutes, best is 19:40ish. I tried many of the strategies listed online. But none of them work because they are for the older version. I didn’t even know they added stronger enemies. This achievement has the weirdest difficulty level in the whole game. Design of the challenge is just will crushing to get 100% (and i still need to grind the landsknechte, also another weird achievement choice comparing to all the other ones). All the other challenges i got Gold on first try (or maybe 2nd or 3th, but not more)…
Did the devs forget that they have this challenge?

If you just want the achievement, you can use this to complete it in single player mode

Made an account on this forum just to bump this thread. I’ve sunk in quite a few hours into this challenge and while I’ve gotten better (and have had fun along the way), I’m sort of at the point of diminishing returns. I had gotten gold years ago, and was wondering if the challenge had been made harder since then. Sure enough, it sounds like it has. ANYWAY, I love a good challenge but I want it to be intentionally designed that way and not just the result of something being overlooked. Not saying that’s what happened here, I’m just saying I want the devs to say, “Too bad; get better,” or “Oh wow yeah, we hadn’t noticed that, thanks!” I’ll accept either answer!!

At any rate, it is a fun setup and I agree with the person who said it would be fun to have similar challenges for different civs.
