Pathfinding Issues Collective Thread

This thread is to report pathfinding issues only.

Please don’t comment, only report.

Pathfinding is appearently beeing worked on, but may have worsened on some builds.
If you have findings of units behaving unexpected or bugged (e.g. taking a suboptimal path, units passing through each other, units not doing their order) you can post it here.

For every report, fill out all the mandatory forms.
So at least a picture/clip/replay is needed.
Replays from other players (e.g. streamers) can be found on aoe2insights.com

  • Less than 25% of the time / matches I play (RARELY/VOLATILE)

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

I give a reproducable example, which occurs quite often:
Villagers don’t all move to the building waypoint, after beeing ungarrisoned out of a building, which is partially walled in.

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED (mandatory)

Villagers don’t all move to the target waypoint, after beeing ungarrisoned out of a building, which is partically walled in.
Happens most often with palisaded watch towers.
Some villagers may be stuck at the watch tower foundation, but even villagers which are not stuck, may not move the the waypoint.

If the villagers can be manually tasked again to go to the target waypoint location, all of them should do it right away on the ungarrisoning.

  • about 50% of the time / matches I play (FREQUENTLY)

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Put 5 villager into a watch tower
  2. Wall in the watch tower, except one tile at a side (see image below)
  3. Set a point for ungarrisoning
  4. Ungarrison all
