Patrol commands not working properly. For example, I issued a Pegasus to patrol through the standard hotkeys (alt+v) multiple times and it simply did not patrol. This is an intermittent issue, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t and I don’t know what causes this event.
I’m not 100% sure if it happens with other units, I only tried it with the Pegasus.
Trigger Event:
(what was happening at the time of the performance/stability issue)
(this could be an action you or another player took right before the issue started)
Repro Steps:
Train a Pegasus or any other unit that can patrol.
Order it to patrol somewhere. Often times it will work as it should, often times it simply won’t obey the command and it will not scout.
Since approximately the December update, Pegasus units set to patrol stop patrolling when they spot an enemy.
This didn’t happen before. Previously, Pegasus units would continue patrolling even after spotting an enemy unit.
I’m not sure why this behavior changed. Only land units should stop to engage in combat, and only if they are not set to passive stance. Flying units like Pegasus should continue their patrol route regardless of enemy detection.
pegasus are not useful anymore
maybe if they add a diferent notification that somethign was detected, but what we expect is that the pegasus keep patrolling despite finding an enemy
also there should be an update webpage where we could see all updates at the same time, to check if this pegasus behavior is an error or no, because about 3 updates have passed since the probable bug started.
Pegasus stops moving when a building is detected while set to patrol, That’s why they don’t move. Before the December update, Pegasus units would continue patrolling even when they had something in sight. I believe the developers unintentionally changed this behavior, causing them to stop patrolling, which appears to be a bug.
the rest of units will attack if they find something, depending the position they have (aggresive, defensive, stay position or pasive) aggresive will follow an enemy very far and then come back if ran more than about 200 meters, Defensive: Units fight enemy units within their line of sight, but will not chase them far from their last commanded location, stay position wont follow the enemy, pasive wont attack)
Thanks for your input and collaboration. I surely had them stopping their patrol even without seeing units before the december update. But after december update it is also happening what you described too.
