PC freezes during short internet connection timeout

Dear Relic-Support,

Recently I have been facing an issue where the game crashes during short internet connection timeouts. I am using the Xbox-client version on PC with Windows 11.

You will find the game log “unhandled” as follows:

As most of my hardware is quite new and Windows error log is not showing anything which I could relate to the game it seems to be an issue with the auto reconnect feature within the game. There are no mods installed or activated. All the other indicators (DxDiag etc.) do not show anything as well. The game is being installed on a new ssd.

Also, I would wish that one could simply manually reconnect to a game, especially in team games. As long as one is out the easy AI could take over or the player simply could be afk.

Additionally, please think about a timeout feature: Sometimes during competitive games people are knocking at the door and you have to open. E.G. every team should be able to choose (vote in team games) for one one minute timeout. This way coping with internet connection issues is easier as well. For example in CS Go it is quite common to handle such issues that way.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards

Hey @mexxez168346! Sorry you’re experiencing this. Best thing to do here would be to take this report to our support and include both your DxDiag and warnings.log file. Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I will proceed as recommended.

I have literally updated everything even every single firmware of my devices. I will play for one more week in order to see wether it happens again.

I have the same problem

If the internet goes down for 30 seconds or so … the game just crashes. No matter if the internet comes on again after the 30 seconds

I have a brand new machine, running the game at 4k all things maxed out @ 120Hz
The specs are not the problem. It’s the game’s problem to handle a little bit of internet down time, just a couple of seconds. ( max 30 seconds! )

Hardware:

PRIME Z790-P (LGA1700)
13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700KF
32GB DDR5 memory
LG TV SSCR2 C3 2023 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
1000mbits internet connection ( fiber )

It looks BEAUTIFUL by the way !

I have been experiencing this as well where my entire computer freezes and the audio continues to play but it exclusively happens when I have a lead in some way I’m starting to wonder if people aren’t exploiting the desync bug by DDoS’ing the game server to drop us

my specs
Rx 6800 gpu
Ryzen 5600x cpu
msi b550 mobo

Thank you for continuing to bump this, all! See above; make sure you get us your info!
