Hello now that the Devs finally is willing to patch the game
how about adding a penalty because this is the only AOE title as far as im aware that doesn’t punish anyone for leaving, anyone can leaves literally first minute without getting a penalty like in aom, aoe4
which i finds ridiculous and happens alot in team games, its ruining the game for me and clearly not a good experience for new players
Yes, I agree. And better choose civ after see the map.
Its rough but with how unbalanced team games are and how unforgiving the environment is unless you can make it so that teams are always roughly balanced games are just over very early if you see your team mates do certain things and people will just leave.
I dont even think people will care about the penalty.
if the Devs cares about new players experience they really should add a penalty, all other age of empires games have a penalty system for leaving too much games early.
because if your teammate see your a noob or new they will leave immediately at start
The problem is that I dont think there is a punishment you can make that would disincetivised that in this game without it also just also permanently locks the other players out.
Games here can end under 10 mins if its unbalanced and the signals that its unbalanced also comes very early. You know you are dead by mins 2-3, sometimes within the first min
So say you have a player leaving at 2 mins 3 times. they are still better off w8 the penalty time of say 5 mins rather then trying to drag out the game where they are dead at the 10th min however much longer.
You have the make the lock out last much longer and in that case you are just locking out the rest of the playerbase
Noobs already get kicked constantly from lobby games and the like as well.
