Hey, this is 100% not caused by the mod alone. No one ever reported such an issue, and using AoP is safe if not used alongside other incompatible mods, which is most likely your situation.
We can’t guarantee compatibility with other, sometimes very specific and niche mods. The best solution would be to delete all mods from your user’s folder and keep only Age of Pirates. If you take the risk to play AoP with other incompatible mods, then you can install mods one by one and check which one breaks the game. But even if you fix your UI issue, we simply can’t guarantee it will not break something else, like typically broken strings, a non-functional native big button, or some historical map triggers.
