The devs said they will focus on PC 1st until it is perfect. Only then they said to check if it is possible. Because now the latest Ps5 and Xbox etc now supporting mouse and keyboard and seems like a lot of people are asking. But, in terms of competitive play, console players will still struggle to compete against PC players. And the possibility is very low, so keep your expectations low.
I am not saying tht people hack nd cheats in game i was saying tht everyone here download the game from piraye sites if u know wht i mean
I am playing age 2 for as long as i remember nd m already in love with it
yes.thats called a ROMHack
I was refering to exactly that
Most people here still loves to trade in cash rather than card or online payment in pc once u bought a game it cannot be replaced but in consoles sometimes i bought games complete it in a day and nxt i go and get another cd in return thatâs y
you dont have PC Games coming in cases? Simple CDs?
(I mean now its codes in some cases, but not all, I think).
and I get that game swapping Idea
We do get cds in pc too but if it donât run no one takes it back
No reason this canât come to the Xbox Series X. Just put a notice on the box that it requires a mouse and keyboard or have it bundled with them. That wasnât hard no was it?
I believe if it comes to consoles a controller can do the job cuz if everyone is using controllers then it wonât be a challenge for players to compete against each other.
So therr should be no worries right
I donât think it would make sense to release a console version. Porting a game is extremely difficult, and in an RTS like AoE4, theyâd have to change the controls and probably also the UI completely to offer a great experience. And even then, it would feel much worse than on PC.
An RTS like AoE just wonât sell very well on a console because it wouldnât be very good. If they want financial success, it would have to be playable with a controller. Optimization is not enough for RTS games to succeed on consoles, they need to be designed for controller play (like Halo Wars).
We can wish for a console version all day long, itâs just not gonna happen because this game would be a financial flop on consoles, especially if it only supported mouse and keyboard.
My PC does not even have a CD drive anymore
CD drives seem like âextrasâ nowadays.
If they did it it might be a little difficult for them but they will be earning huge profit out of it, and as far as i know they donât care abt anything but money.
Games on consoles are more expensive and it can earn them more profit plus it is not impossible yes most of the hotkeys are hard to use in consoles and very certain amt of hotkeys we will be able to use nd we have to switch those in settings but as far as i am concern it would be blast
Mine was broken even i donât give â â â â abt cd drives
that I know aswell
But thats the point, either you do want to sell/ exchange, then you get the CD version, or you dont, then you get the digital game
Can you name a single succesful RTS on consoles that was not specifically designed to be played on consoles? Also I think you underestimate the amount of work it takes to port a game to consoles.
I am a businessman there is scarcity of rts games in ps or consoles it is an excellent opportunity to earn for them
I didnât said it didnât put a lot of work but have it nvr happened before tht a pc game came in consoles or vice versa it happens as it should someone have to do it
I agree on that, but imo RTS games for consoles really need to be designed to be played on controller. There are some good examples for that, but the only AAA RTS I know would be Halo Wars. But again, this game was designed to be played with a controller. And even games which were designed to be played with controller and were good games in my opinion, did not really find success (thinking of you, Tooth and Tail. Try it, itâs awesome :D)
Would definitely love to see more RTS games which I can play on my couch too.
I donât think there is a big enough market for MS to actually invest in bringing this game to PS/XBOX.
It isnât practical and no corporation however big they may be would want to invest in something that wonât ever breakeven.
Besides, there are games much better suited for consoles, so why would anyone pay to play a severely downsized version of aoe4 on it?
@ShivPutra A ps5 costs 50k (Indian rupee) in our country, while you can assemble a decent gaming pc for around 60k. I know times are rough atm, but seeing as you already have a monitor from your previous purchases, if you can save for a year or two, you should be able to afford it. Good luck!
50k$ ? o_O
