Played for years, now I "Don't meet Min Requirements""

I have played this game for years with no issue, now all of a sudden I get this:

Your video hardware does not support DirectX 11 which is required for Age of Empires III DE.

Age of Empires III DE requires at least a 1 GB video card. This computer appears to have a 0 MB video card.

Your video hardware does not support DirectX 11 which is required for Age of Empires III DE.

Event viewer shows:

Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.MSGPBoston_100.15.59076.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AoE3DE.exe

What’s even weirder is I got this message, but then managed to get in after restart for a few games, but now I am getting this all over again. I have tried everything in the book, uninstall/reinstall AOE/DirectX/Microsoft Redist, verify integrity, clean boot, modified graphics setting, removed all mods and manually checked all the files for any outliers. I have no idea where to go from here.

Do you have multiple gpus?
Tell us your PC specs please.

This is usually a driver problem. Perform a clean install of the driver. If that doesn’t work, you may need to clean reinstall windows.

There is a rare chance your GPU might be faulty though.

It was driver issue. I had to unistall/reinstall GeForce. For whatever reason, it was saying I was up to date even though I was a few versions behind. I downloaded the driver update directly from the website since GeForce would not update it.

The Geforce software sux, avoid using it. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was responsible for messing your drivers.
