Player color change does not take effect

Hi!

I’m experiencing a problem with the player color change feature introduced in the latest season. In short words - it does not work.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to skirmish lobby
  2. Select a different color than blue from the color picker, eg. red.
  3. Start the game.

Expected results:
All my units and buldings use red color accent.

Actual results:
I’m blue no matter of color selection during skirmish setup step.

5.0.23349.0

Not a bug, you just have the wrong setting.

There is a setting you need to toggle for “unique player colors” instead of team colors. Otherwise you’ll always be blue, teammates always yellow, and enemy always red.

There’s also a hotkey to toggle it in game. I think it’s the Insert key.

Yup, that’s 99% this option. I had the same ‘issue’ for a few games. I’m not sure if I made a mistake or if it was enabled by default (or linked with enabling another thing, by intent or mistake).
Personally, I almost never use this feature, but it should stay and has its uses I’m sure.

I believe it defaults to team colors, which is unfortunate because it seems to confuse a lot of people.
