If they make full map screenshots feature, people will be inclined to post more of them. It is naturally beneficial to marketing the game.

Exactly. Itā€™s kinda hard to think we had that feature on a previous game and now with all the advanced things on these days we couldnā€™t have itā€¦

Would it also help map makers capture an image of their map to use as a thumbnail when releasing their mod? I think so

We need this! If main game canā€™t support this, at least add it to Capture Age.

Itā€™s one of several nice features that was present in aoe2HD, but was removed from the supposed ā€œdefinitiveā€ edition

And for a ā€œDefinitive Editionā€, I think you should be able to set it to also have it take a super screenshot once every 1, 5, or 10 minutes while playing, or at start of match and end of match, and store them off in a folder of your choosing. Options in the game menu.

This could be leveraged to also give an option to use those screenshots to then button them up and make an animated GIF or MP4 automatically of your game progression for you at the end of the match. Imagine seeing the map battle ebbs and flows and evolutions in time-lapse photography style, essentially.

Or at least do these automated snapshots with the mini-map. But a super screenshot version of auto-snapshots would be cooler
