Please fix Arabia - its just gold rush at this point

this is basically just a topic to repeat what Hera said in his video a couple of days ago:

The map gen at the moment makes Arabia super one-dimensional - who ever gets map control in castle age and takes the enormous hill in the middle - which always generates - wins the game in >90% of cases. The fact that all the extra res spawn in the center makes this problem even worse.

Arabia shoould not be a map where the whole game plan revolves around taking a position in the middle.

There should be more res spawning at the edges and in the corners of the map aswell, hills should be more evenly distributed across all of the map, and the hills on arabia dont need to be the freakin Himalays, an elevation of 4 or maybe 5 is enough… 7+ is not needed!

To give some positive feedback aswell, I think the size, distribution and amount of woodlines on the map are in a perfect sweet spot right now, its possible to wall up, but feudal agression is still rewarded.

Yeah, he’s right. Gold and stone should be distributed toward more sides of the map, at least for most generations.

Agreed, it makes Arabia less interesting to play. The sides and corners are useless now, unless it’s a very long game and you need the wood there’s no reason to go there. Wish the devs would listen and distribute the gold and stone more evenly.
