The AI (especially Hard and Titan) is very good for practicing…, to a certain point.
The AI always employs the same tactics dictated by the personality you choose for them. Standard and Aggressive AI rush you, and Defensive AI turtles in their base.
If you always have to choose the personality beforehand, and the AI does exactly the same, then you already know how to beat them and the surprise aspect that is ever-present in multiplayer is lost here and with it, any meaningful practice.
The rock-paper-scissor of RTS is well known to many. Rush beats Boom, Boom beats Turtle, and Turtle beats Rush. So yeah, if you’re playing against standard and aggressive AI, just turtle and you win. If you’re playing against defensive AI, then just boom and you win. Sadly, there’s no boomer AI.
Long story short, first of all, please add a boomer AI personality, and second and more importantly, give us a random AI personality which doesn’t give away which tactic it’s going to employ, and you need to find out in the game.
