Please give us infinite pauses in custom multiplayer

Sorry for misusing the bug reports thread, but there is no separate suggestions thread so I can’t post this anywhere else.
Also note that there are many other similar posts, but since bumping isn’t allowed and apparently necroposting is generally considered bad and all I could find were really old posts, I kinda have to make a new post.

Please let us enable an option in custom multiplayer to remove the 3 pauses limit. It isn’t that big of a problem, but it really can’t be that hard to add it, and it would genuinely make the game so much better.

Secondly, if possible, please add multiplayer saving. I understand that this is probably quite difficult, but it would make it so much better. The idea is that you can have the host request a save file in a custom game, then the server generates the save file and sends it to the client. Then you can create a custom game starting from the save file. I understand that this would probably be quite difficult to implement, but I believe that lots of players will find it extremely useful.
A far less intuitive, but possibly easier alternative could be allowing players to leave during a pause and return later, maybe add some sort of hibernation-like RAM freeing or save/loading 100% server-side such that it doesn’t use up server resources during this sort of pause.
