Game 1: Greeks beat Norse because Norse are weaker. Never mind the fact that both teams had Norse and Greeks.
Game 2: Greeks aren’t as strong against Egyptians, so he has to wait for you to win against your opponent. You were Norse. Against the Greeks.
Isn’t this just a matter of differences in skill level? One player didn’t know how to handle early aggression, and the other one did. Otherwise Hades in both games should’ve been able to do the same thing to you, and you’d expect the team with the Norse player to lose in Game 2.
I meant that the player is not so strong to win with skill. The point was that he just presses RMB on the barracks and wins only against the Scandinavians.
I’ll add especially for you that I lost to him in the same way when we fought one-on-one.
The art of a straight attack on a TC. I’m telling you how it looked. One barracks, one archer barracks, no upgrades. Just went forward and demolished everything in his path. In the game where he won in 9 minutes, by this time the opponent lost everything except the 10 soldiers, TC, a longhouse and 3 houses. All the other buildings were demolished.
We learn English verb tenses. “Breaking” is an action that is being done at the moment. In order to understand my post as you said, I should have written “broke”.
I outsmarted him. I never fight Scandinavians with Greeks limit on limit. It’s a guaranteed defeat.
My guess, he’s using cheats of some kind. But since you said he only does this against norse, and not egyptians or other greeks, I’m at a loss.
I can’t make sense of this.
Have you tried doing his strategy in skirmish and see what happens?
Hoplites are stronger in equal numbers, but if you compare Norse economy to Greek/Atlantean economy, it is obvious why Murmillo/Hoplite are stronger (they also cost more).
Just tempo it. Don’t go super lategame against greek. Once they have defenses everywhere and all upgrades, there isn’t much you can do as Norse other than maybe ballista spam or something, but unsure even that works this patch with Petrobolos and Helepolis both having more crush armor.
Also if you picked Forseti+/Bragi+Tyr, your berserks would be much stronger. Loki and Freyr probably have stronger Hersirs than Thor too.
Here you go, im sending a proper simulation without hiding values like you do. Berserk win with iron as well btw, just less units remaining left. The upgrades they get are very good.
You know your standoffish attitude towards this just makes me not want to believe you out of spite but I kinda don’t need to as more experened players already said more than enough.
While the math is kinda in your favor from my own tests (of just sicking un-upgraded groups of 20 units of infantry mixed with related counters) It sill shows that hoplites don’t completely dominate and occasionally loose
I can still conclude that at best hoplites are just good generalist infantry that will loose against a properly prepared army and strategy.
Norse loosing against them is less because hoplites are op and more of norse units beings weak by themselves when it comes to an even matchup.
