Please remember if I turn eye candy off in the scenario designer, and let me generate a map without it

Whenever I start a new map, my first step is pretty much always generate it in the desired size, always using grass 2. I turn eye candy off, because I want to manually place plants, but this doesn’t do anything for map generation, and I now have a ludicrous sized map, covered in plants I don’t want, with no easy way of getting rid of them. Considering how I always default to eye candy off, can the system also remember that it is my default preference, same as having no beach auto-generated. Does anyone else have to deal with this and find it painful?
