Please remove FEI relic, incredibly overpowered full RNG win condition

Considering how luck based relics are, who spots it first, whos closer, which civ are they playing to pick it up etc…

FEI relic is absolutely garbage. It can single handedly win fights and has troll levels of raiding potential for just a relic. Its incredibly hard to keep track of in engagements and it can take half ur melee army hp with ease regardless of the age.

Im a player who mained Gaia when it had 28% winrate at launch and this is the first time I have made a balance post.

I rest my case.

Agree, its too strong in many situations. Fei Beasts in General are and need an overhaul - then maybe the relic can persist

I’m usually inclined to disagree with “remove this thing entirely” advice.

But in this case, I agree. Relics are always going to be down to a significant amount of randomness, that’s unavoidable, but it does mean their power needs to be within a certain bounds. And the Fei relic is insanely strong.

“Oh, then it just needs to be nerfed”, some might claim. But the problem is…this is a recurring individual version of an existing god power that creates a unit. It would be unintuitive and awkward to make the Fei from the relic have significantly different stats from each of the Fei in the god power, and by its basic design, it has to have infinite life span and respawn after a certain time upon death. So it’s basically impossible to nerf it into being balanced while still retaining its identity and being designed how relic units are designed.
