The new catapult galleon was given to the civilizations who already have any siege ship (Cumans + all the american civilization). But many existing civilizations never use gunpowder weapon on ship and disappearing before the advent of gunpowder ship for example the Sicilians or the Vikings. For them non gunpowder siege ship is more accurate.

Do you want that the Cannon galleon become a regional unit ? (ie : don’t show them in the technology tree for civilizations who doesn’t own him and instead have another siege ship : a Dromon, a Louchuan or a Catapult galleon)
Also some civilizations have unique ship (Portuguese and Viking) who fit the same role that the Galley line
Do you want that the Caravel replace the galley line for the Portuguese and that drakkar replace the galley line for the Vikings ?
Every civ that has no land ganpowder unit/building (Hand Cannon, Bombard Cannon, Bombard Tower) should lose access to the Cannon Galleon:
- Bengalis
- Bulgarians
- Celts
- Khitans
- Magyars
- Mongols
- Sicilians
- Slavs
- Vikings

And yes I think the Vikings especially should use access to the Cannon Galleon because it makes historically no sense for them to have it. They can get a bonus for the Catapult Galleon to make up for it if necessary.
Sicilians might also be a candidate for a Catapult Galleon bonus. That would fit well into the Crusade theme they have.

For the Celt I think that they can keep the Galleon canon because they built a real one, the Great Michael in 1511, until if one day they are splited and the scottish civilization will be created..

Havimg both Catapults Galleys and Dromon around seems kinda pointless
I would prefer if Catapult Galleon/Galley was a Dromon precursor in caatle age, with both dromon and catapuly galleon being less anti building and more anti ship but I get that is kinda hard to do

Dromon is also anti ship while the Catapult Galleon is only anti building.
Having the Dromon is definitely better then having the Catapult Galleon. Also it’s very Byzantine themed so it doesn’t fit well for civs outside of the Mediterranean.
