Well, RIP to my computer having enough storage to run the game.
That was a wiki error (one that has since been fixed). I used Advanced Genie editor (which contains the data that the game uses) to get the costs I listed.
Better, it was really too weird
Exactly. Iām really liking Jurchens and Khitans design of replacing Knights with SL. Maybe even Mongols should lose Knight. Then SL nerf can be reverted.
Historically mongols used other conquered people as vanguard cavalry so knights for them can stay or be removed as you suggest.
Wonder how removing knight line will affect tatars and cumans.
The reason why Mongol SL rush was broken is not because they have Knights. Even if we remove Knights from Mongols, the SL nerf should not be reverted back.
SL still basically stands for raiding.
I just feel bad that they canāt manage to adequately reflect the historical use of heavy cavalry in the game.
Having Iron Pagoda in Castles is preventing the Jurchens from developing a heavy cavalry gameplay in early games which was supposed to be their first identity than gunpowder.
The Khitans also used heavy cavalry historically. Although their heavy cavalry was not as heavily armed as the Jurchens and Tanguts, they were not supposed to completely lack heavy cavalry units in the game. Whether or not the Knight should be returned, at least their SLs can get extra armor as a civ bonus to reflect the fact that their (medium) heavy cavalry always use lances.
If that need to give they savar? Remove Paladin hear it bad. But tatar I donāt know about they have some style like savar or not
Tatars dont have paladin,Cuman and Huns have paladin.
No I mean if delete paladin from that civ. Because they arenāt have paladin incorrect history. Same mean I want to give hei guang to China Korean and Viet.
Huns and cumans did use heavy cavalry so them using paladins is not that bad.
If you give the hei guang to chinese koreans and viets japan will be stuck with european knights which doesnāt make any sense.
If most people think china will OP, it let do remove last their armor, but all they are not cavalry civ so I still think it ok. Tang and Song after too they together Viet+ Korean , Japanese worthy get it.
Middle to later of Ming and after. Gun appear and they nearly do not keep the cavalry full armor too. They just keep raider full amour. So give hei guang to China more exactly.
Iām forgot but in a set I think they will get together, with all of other East Asia Culture ( not Mongol)
Maybe now, the long-anticipated Mounted Samurai unit will finally see its time to shine, get a facelift, and dominate the battlefield!
It still has the hussar skin unfortunately.
I know, and it drives me crazy every time I see it. Updating the unit model to an actual samurai model on horseback would actually not be that hard given we have an actual Samurai model in-game, even less so if the devs were to give it something like a naginata and recycle the Coustiller normal attack animation. It would work perfectly, and maybe have a smaller bonus than the dismounted version to UUs to keep to the meme.
