Nice poll! I was wondering the same. I’m hesitant toward giving them to Mongols…

The second vote has no option for “none”, as you cannot press voting when no selection is made.

Yes! I was very surprised by the patch notes when the Hei Guang were not included for the Chinese, seems like a no-brainer

No hesitation toward the mongols because it’s like the farm, we have 3 technologies to balance this building.

Farm : Horse Collar, Heavy Plow, Crop Rotation
Pasture : Domestication, Pastoralism, Transhumance

Also we can modify the conversion ratio from wood to food to balance this building.

Huns and Mongols
They have no access to Crop Rotation, inactivate the technology Transhumance.

Fixed but that reset the second poll, you must vote a second time for this.

i dont think this is a very good way to balance it as the food/min is more impactful, unless they lost all of them. All you really need is the first one. The better way if u wanted to give more civs this is nerf the collection if its too strong and just give the khitans a better civ bonus towards it. (assuming its better than the farm)

Now huns need the SL line as well, all other nomadic peoples have them.

The only thing I don’t like about the Pasture is the tent in the centre that is too big. Anne will probably change it to something less visually invasive.

I like this idea. Could open up some cool things, too. For example, maybe “Nomads,” the worst unique tech in the game, can have a new purpose. Something like “allows a 3rd villager to be tasked to pastures.”

I literally found more on the Tang Dynasty using Hei Guang Cavalry than the Three Kingdoms. Why the Chinese don’t get it is bizarre.

Tbh the Tang have insanely good records, so its not weird that there are more records from that period than from the previous regimes

…Which is why Im disapointed we arent getting any campaigns from such an interesting and well understood period

Chinese being left out from the chinese dlc is criminal.

Justice for the chinese civilization.

The main issue is that the game still doesn’t have regional unit skins.
If the Chinese Knight would look Chinese I don’t think most people would want them to be replaced.

Right now the Hei Guang Cavalry would look less out of place then the Knight for every East Asian civilisation.
Japanese, Koreans, Mongols and Vietnamese too!

I’m actually okay with this too. Everything is in chaos now as it is.

The pasture mechanic is really interesting and would be good to expand. They have new techs for it literally in the mill. So makes sense to vary it for different civs that could get it (Cumans, Huns, Mongols, Khitans). I’m looking at you Caravanserai.

Tang and Song use the same cavalry some equipment similar with HeiGuang, but more armor, some look like iron pagoda cavalry( skin) . But yes I want to see HeiGuang in stable of east Asia region. Together pasture for nomad civ( but look back bonus economy when give they that).

The pasture would need some rebalance with each civ (imagine if the Mongol hunting bonus affects it…) but it would indeed match nomadic civs.

I’m more on the fence with Tatars as they are more settled with their Samarkand architecture.

As I have said more than once now, the problem is the overall consistency of the video game, which instead of improving, is slowly getting worse.

If even the 3 kingdoms were to be moved to Chronicles (and I sincerely hope this happens), why don’t the Jurchens/Khitans have Knights? It doesn’t make a damn bit of sense. You could tell me European unity etc, and you’d be right. But if we have decided that it is NOT a regional unit, but a basic unit, then this criticism makes no sense.

Another peculiarity of the Jurchens is that they do not even have LS. It is a huge difference between the Huns and Jurchens/Khitans at this point. It makes absolutely no sense.

We finally have that for monks, maybe the devs are considering it for other units

When I saw the Pasture I also though it would be nice to make it a regional building and give it to other nomadic Civs as well.
